We are learning to write a description this term.
On Monday, Kowhai reading group read a story about shapes.
One of the shapes was an oval - a date.
We hadn't eaten a date before, so we looked, we smelled, we listened, we touched and we tasted.
We wrote a shared story to describe the date.
Dates are a food we eat.
A date is an oval shape.
Dates are brown and black.
A date is sticky and it tastes like sugar.
We use dates when we make scones.
